Viral fever is any fever that is caused by a viral infection. It weakens our immune system due to which our body becomes more susceptible to infections. The common symptoms of viral fever include a sore throat, runny nose, body-pain, cough, etc.

Home Remedies that help treat Viral Fever:

1. Turmeric and Dry Ginger (Sonth in Hindi) powder:

The antioxidant properties of ginger help reduce viral fever. How to consume?

Take one tablespoon of black pepper powder, one small tablespoon of turmeric and one tablespoon of ginger powder. Put all these ingredients in a cup of water, also add one-fourth tablespoon of sugar. Now boil this mixture until it is reduced by half its volume. Let it cool down and then drink it. It provides relief in viral fever.

2. Basil

Basil is high in antioxidants that work against the virus. How to consume?

Take one tablespoon of clove powder and ten to fifteen leaves of basil. Add these ingredients to one-liter water. Boil this mixture until it is reduced by half its volume. Let it cool down and then filter it. Keep drinking it at intervals of one hour.

3. Coriander Tea:

Coriander is known as wonder herb due to its numerous medicinal properties. How to prepare coriander tea for viral fever?

Take one cup of boiling water. Add one tablespoon of coriander seeds into the cup. Cover the cup and leave it for five minutes. Then using a strainer, pour the mixture into another cup. Drink this tea twice or thrice in a day.     

 4. Fenugreek (Methi in Hindi) Water:

Fenugreek seeds are high in minerals, vitamins, and phytonutrients. How to prepare fenugreek water for viral fever?

Add one tablespoon of fenugreek seeds to a cup of water and leave it overnight. In the morning strain and drink this solution. You may drink it at intervals of one hour.
5. Ginger and Honey:

Ginger has antioxidant, analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties. Honey is also good for health. So, during viral fever, you can consume dry ginger after adding some honey to it to get relief from viral fever.
